Surgical Ambulatory Care Service provides access to surgeons and diagnostics at the front door. If it is deemed safe to do so, patients are discharged home and given a time to come back into the hospital for surgery. This service provides ‘same day’ emergency/urgent care services, including telephone advice to GPs.

Surgical Team will assess suitability for ambulation. Direct access to senior surgeon opinion available - especially for potential ambulatory cases. GPs seeking advice for surgical issues may also contact the Surgical BAT phone.
