Learning Disability Crisis Response

Description

The 'Learning Disability Crisis Response' provides specialist support for clients with a learning disability who present with mental ill health or behaviour that challenges them and their carers, enabling them to stay in their own homes and avoid unnecessary admission to hospital where possible.

Referral Criteria

Patient/client must be over 18; diagnosed as having a learning disability; resident in the Southern Trust Area; and known to a community learning disability team.

Exclusions Patient/client exclusions include co-morbidity of alcohol or substance abuse problems with Learning Disability.
