Rapid Access Angina Assessment Clinic (RAAC)

Description

Rapid Access Angina Clinics are designed primarily for the assessment and diagnosis of new onset stable, non-acute  chest pain suggestive of stable angina and to a lesser degree for patients who have known Ischemic heart disease and recurrent symptoms who are not under the care of a cardiologist.

Referral Criteria

As per flow chart and NCG 95 Guidelines.

Exemptions:

RAAC referral is not appropriate for screening for heart disease in the absence of symptoms or diagnosing non-anginal causes of  chest pain
