Podiatry

Description

Assessment, diagnosis and treatment of disease and conditions affecting the feet and lower limbs, including:-

Biomechanical assessment, advise and provision of orthotic devices if required.

Nail Surgery

Screening for patients living with diabetes.

Wound management.

Referral Criteria

We do not accept referrals for routine social care (nail cutting) for patients without risk factors (i.e. diabetes), treatment of Verruca Pedis, stand-alone ABPI requests

Service Access

We accept professional referrals from Nursing, AHP’s, Primary care and self-referral.

These are sent to the AHP Central booking unit via CCG, e-mail or post.
